Library design inspired by the ballet movement and designed to create new definition of library that is more than just reading but more on learning through experiences. The main focus on the design is to bring the feeling of ballet to the interior while the accessibility to the library to be easier for the residences.
Brooklyn Public Library
Arlington Branch.
The Brooklyn Public Library, located at 203 Arlington Avenue, is an old building with a classic facade that was built over a hundred years ago. As it is an important historical site in the area, the design focuses on maintaining its classical interior look while making the library more welcoming and interactive for visitors.
Considering the information gathered from site analysis and the goals of the MoB Ballet Group, the new design focuses on creating a welcoming and interactive library space. New library will serve as a place for learning, gathering, and relaxing.

Movement Study & Design Idea
Research into ballet movements from the performance "Firebirds" leads to the creation of a model that captures key choreographic elements.
This movement model serves as the central element in the elevator design, symbolizing the intricate connections and movements inherent in ballet choreography.
